Department of Housing and Urban Development. 40 CFR Part 745 - Subpart F Section 1018 of the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992 directed EPA and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to issue joint regulations requiring disclosure of known lead-based paint andor lead-based paint hazards by persons selling or leasing housing constructed before 1978.

On June 19 2020 EPA released a proposal to lower the clearance levels for lead in dust on floors and windowsills after lead removal activities from 40 µgft 2 to 10 µgft 2 for floor.
